Roccolo Grassi, Valpolicella Superiore is a beautifully balanced, elegant, fragrant wine. By mixing several varieties of grapes that are harvested in the prestigious areas of Veneto in northeast Italy, it has a versatile aromatic palette perfectly reflects the modern style of Valpolicella. The grapes are harvested in the first week of October, when the fruits reach optimum maturity. The berries are fermented at 25-28°C in stainless steel tanks. Maceration and fermentation with daily remontazhem lasts 15 days. The wine is aged 20 months in 225-liter and 15-22 gektolitrovyh French oak barrels and then another 10 months in bottles.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is bright ruby color with purple highlights.
The aroma of the wine shows an amazing combination of shades of rose, cedar, plum jam, cocoa and pepper.
The taste of the wine is rich, with freshness and minerality, well balanced, with silky tannins, hints of dark raspberry, blueberry, leather and spice, hints of toasted almonds and smoke.
The wine is beautifully revealed in conjunction with the game, hot meat and spicy dishes, beef, grilled or broiled. It will be a great tandem with pasta, beans and cheese, with a taste of medium intensity.
