Abkhazia is known for its ancient wine culture developed, so its inhabitants know a lot about wine, and natural wine they have an everyday drink. The famous wines of Abkhazia are easy, fresh, unique taste and aroma. The grapes, according to tradition, should be collected only by men. Harvesting is done in the period from October to December, depending on variety. Then the berries are placed in a barrel, under pressure and within 3-4 days the process of fermentation. Depending on the type of wine produced, the wort is kept in earthen vessels, or oak.
