Red wine château Ferriere, Margaux is made from the varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which are grown in the centre of Margaux, on the basis of irantskogo gravel with clay-limestone subsoil. Local terroir promotes early ripening. The vines, whose average age is 35 years, are grown on 8 hectares of land. Handpicked grapes are macerated in stainless steel tanks with temperature control for 20 days. Wort is fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques. Aging wine lasts for 16-18 months in barriques, 60% new. After fining using egg whites, the wine is bottled. Wine storage capacity is quite high — 25 years. Wine must be carefully stored in the cellar, it can be drunk now and for 5-8 years.
The wine has a deep ruby color.
The bouquet includes aromas of red berries, ripe plums and spices.
Medium-bodied wine, elegant and harmonious on the palate, with excellent structure, strong tannins and a long juicy finish.
