Chateau Labegorce is a castle built in a beautiful neoclassical style. In the early XX century, the Chateau was modernized: was built new cellars and upgraded the vineyards. The vineyards of château Labegorce occupy an area of 30 hectares. On the sandy-gravel soils planted with 50 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The average age of the vines is 25 years. The average yield is 50 hectoliters per hectare. Wine maceration and fermented in traditional vats, then aged in oak barrels, of which 35% is new. Wine Chateau Labegorce have an elegant texture. "Chateau Labegorce 2005" has a very long storage period and reached its peak in 2016-2019 year.
The wine is impenetrable, deep ruby color.
The wine has a pleasant aroma of ripe black fruits with slight nuances of toast.
The wine has a powerful but elegant palate of ripe fruit with a fairly noticeable tannins.
The wine goes well with dishes of meat and game and cheese.
