Interesting facts

"Chassagne-Montrachet 1-er Cru" — a compelling, delicate dry white wine with a delicate bouquet of fragrant and sensual, perfectly balanced taste. After hand-picking, the Chardonnay immediately forwarded to the winery, where gently pressed. After adding natural yeasts, the wine fermented slowly in French oak barrels, of which 10% — new, cool cellars of the Domain. Regular bâtonnage is performed initially twice weekly, then reduced to once a week. After 18 months elevazha and very light filtration the wine was bottled.Domaine Vincent et Francois Jouard is a small family estate, currently run by brothers Vincent and Francois. The domain was created in the early 1820-ies. Located in the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, Domain owns exceptional vineyards, covering about 12 hectares of land — 10 hectares in Chassagne-Montrachet and a tiny portion of Battery-Montrachet Grand CRU.
