"Illivio" — jubilee wine, it was created by sons of Livio Felluga in 1998 in honor of the 85th anniversary of the father. In its combination of strength and elegance "Illivio" reflects the personality of the Patriarch Livio. The blended wine "Illivio" consists of an interesting mix of three grape varieties — Chardonnay, Picolit and Pinot Bianco grown in the Colli Orientali of Friuli. The soil of the vineyard consists of marl and Sandstone of Eocene period. Harvested by hand in small boxes during the second week of September. The grapes are carefully destebliruetsya and undergoes pre-cold maceration for a short period of time. Then the berries are gently pressed, is carried out by decantation, and then fermentation at controlled temperature in small French oak barrels where the wine Matures on the lees for 10 months. His ancestors had produced Refosco and Malvasia on the island of Istria. Livio Felluga is the representative of the fourth generation of family wine — Friuli moved to seventy years ago. In the fifties of the XX century he founded the winery brac and bought the first vineyards in Rosazzo. The hill was in poor condition. With great courage Felluga began to transplant an old grape vine cultivation and new, using unique ideas and innovative methods. The result of the hard work done with great tenacity and passion was the creation of one of the most famous wineries in Italy.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine straw yellow color with greenish reflections.
In a fragrant, elegant bouquet of wine there are hints of vanilla and white spring flowers, Tulip, notes of citrus, lime, bitter orange and white musk.
The taste of the wine is delicate, mineral, with well-balanced acidity, notes of sea salt and creamy yogurt in the final.
Wine is an excellent aperitif, especially suitable for fish dishes, risottos and fresh cheeses.
