"Les Carmes de Rieussec" is the second wine of Chateau resek, elegant, fresh and very aromatic. The name of the wine, "Le Pocket de ressac", comes from the name of its first owners, the monks CARM de Langon, who owned the vineyards ressec in the XVIII century. During the French revolution the estate was confiscated and sold. Since 1790, possession several times changed owners until in 1984 it was purchased by Domaines barons de Rothschild Lafite, whose owners not only did not stint on the essential and in the interest of costs, but also ruled out any compromises if they referred to the technology of wine production. After a long day of work to restore the vineyards and improving the performance became visible long-awaited results: since 1995, almost every crop of the estate can be called famous.
The wine is an attractive pale gold colour.
The aroma of wine is dominated by notes of candied exotic fruit, felt hints of citrus and dried Apple.
The taste of wine is clean, very concentrated, dense, with nice lemon notes, hints of honey and vanilla, creamy texture and a long finish.
The wine is a perfect accompaniment to desserts, cheeses (including blue), foie Gras, fruits, white meat in sweet and sour sauce.
