Luzon Monastrell 2007 — a delicious dry red wine with a vibrant taste, which are different notes of ripe fruit and vanilla, and nutty aroma with hints of fruit and sweet toast. Luzon Monastrell is produced from Monastrell grapes that are grown on the winery Luzon, located in the Spanish province of Jumilla. After harvest it is subjected to fermentation and maceration at a temperature of 24-26C for 10 days. Winery Bodegas Luzon was founded in 1916 by several families who have combined into one their age-old tradition of winemaking. In 1990, with the arrival of a new team of young winemakers, the winery was fully modernized and rebuilt. Today Bodegas Luzon belongs to the strong corporations, which includes more than 20 companies operating in various sectors. Jumilla region is located in the South-East of Spain, in the plains. It is a transition zone between the Eastern coast of the Mediterranean sea and the region of Castilla-La Mancha. Jumilla is part of the Murcia province, there were more than 30,000 acres of vineyards. Jumilla is a relatively recent discovery for Spanish wine, but today the region has become one of the leading domestic and international market of wine. Bodegas Luzon has more than 600 hectares of vineyards, which grows grapes of the varieties Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
