"Foravia" — white wine with individual character, complex aroma and smooth taste. It is made from indigenous grape varieties Viognier, the origin of which perfectly expresses the richness of the Sicilian land open to the sea and blown by hot winds called Sirocco.Winery "Aziende Vinicole Miceli" was founded in the early XX century Ignazio Miceli, who built the family estate on the island of Pantelleria. Initially, there were engaged in agriculture and farming, so along with a wine cellar family owned olive press, mill and barn. However, in 1995, the emphasis was on viticulture, the winery was completely renovated and equipped with the latest technology. Modern equipment includes fermentation tanks of steel with a controlled temperature system, as well as oak barrels for many years the aging of dessert wines. The ancient Villa is now used for receptions and tastings.Currently, the "Aziende Vinicole Miceli" owns 40 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in Central Sicily, in the town of Dima. Despite the hot climate, the grapes grown here, sins not excessive tannins thanks to the Mistral which brings coolness and moisture in this region.The company's philosophy is the development and implementation of innovative technology to create stunning fine wines while caring for the environment, the combination of modern achievements with ancient cultural heritage. Assortment counts and 30 wines includes sweet and dry wines, red, pink and white, structured and unstructured. But despite this diversity, the main parameter is the high quality of the products. Thanks to numerous national and international awards received in recent years, "Aziende Vinicole Miceli" can be considered a true role model among the wineries of the island.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is yellow-straw color.
Wine with a complex intertwining of fruity and floral aromas, with hints of pineapple, kiwi, peach, citrus, acacia, orange blossom and honey, with gentle notes of minerals and thyme.
The wine is full, balanced, warm and soft taste and a long finish with a hint of Apple.
Wine is perfect as aperitif, with shellfish, fish and white meat poultry.
