Interesting facts

The grapes for extraordinary and fine wine "Morandina" Ripasso is grown in plots located in areas of Mezzane and Tregnago at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level and with South-East exposure. The soils here — glacial, planting density is 7,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested in mid-October, the berries are separated from the stalks, pressed and subjected to maceration and fermentation for 15 days in vertical vats. This is followed by delestazh and fermentation in oak vats. Then mix the wort with the skin of grapes used to make Amarone. Re-maceration is carried out for five days at a temperature of 25-30 °C, after which the wine is fermented again. Next is aging for 18 months partly in barriques and partly in oak vats. After bottling the wine Matures in bottles for another six months. In the year produces only 5000 bottles of fine wine "Morandina" Ripasso, which has a long storage potential and will adorn the collection of true connoisseurs of Italian wines.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine has a ruby color with purple patches and a shiny texture.
The aroma of wine is refreshing, with hints of cherries, vanilla and baking spices.
The taste of the wine reveals a bouquet of fresh fruit with expressive cherry notes and soft tannins. There are hints of berry jam, black pepper and rhubarb.
Wine goes with red meat and pasta with meat sauces, feta cheese and Italian ham.
