Interesting facts

Dry red wine "DouRosa" is a blend from grapes of the traditional Portuguese varieties — Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca. 2013 was distinguished by rainy winters and hot dry summers. Light rain in late August has not prevented the winemakers to consider the perfect weather for a good harvest. The grapes reached the perfect ripeness by the end of September and was harvested before the onset of the rainy season. Carefully selected berries were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature, allowing the drink to maintain the fruity and attractive freshness. Bottling took place in April of 2015. The wine can be drunk now or over the next 5 years.Quinta De La Rosa is a small estate in the heart of the Douro wine region in the Alto, which belongs to the family Bergqvist. Owns 55 hectares of vineyards, and, very importantly, at different heights: 7 hectares located at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level, 10 ha at an altitude of 150 meters, and the rest of the vineyards at an altitude of 250-450 metres. Different height and layered soil vineyards give wines their unique character with greater flexibility, variety, and complexity of flavor and aroma. La Rosa has always produced excellent products, but with the advent in 2002 of the talented winemaker Jorge Moreira wines are fantastic. Winery has won many awards and their products are sold in many prestigious restaurants and wine stores around the world.
