Interesting facts

For making wine "QUINTA Sardona", 2014 manufacturer used assemblage 5 grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Tinto Fino. This is an amazing and interesting wine is made from grapes harvested from young vines in several vineyards located in Villabanez and Sardone de Duero at the altitude from 760 to 830 meters above sea level. After vinification the 2014 vintage was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, of which 16% were new. Before bottling, held in September 2016, was held light filtering. Vintage will be perfectly stored until 2024. It is recommended to open the bottle an hour before drinking.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine has deep cherry red color with purple rim.
Intense aroma of wine, it is dominated by shades of black currant, white pepper and plums lying on the basis of hints of preserved cherries and dark chocolate.
The taste of the wine is strong, fresh, with a noticeable influence of Cabernet Sauvignon and a velvety tannin structure. The finish is subtle and elegant, long.
The wine goes well with meat dishes and cheeses.
