Chianti Classico is the flagship wine of the portfolio Riecine. Made in the classic style of Sangiovese grapes, the wine has a rich fruity character and is a true and faithful expression of the terroir of Gaiole. Vintage 1998, noted wine critics as one of the best in recent years, is really a impressive expression of terroir and subtlety. Besides all the great characteristics of Chianti Classico 1998 has a unique storage capacity and capable of long evolution. Riecine winery, located in the heart of Tuscany and takes its place among the best vineyards in all of Italy, continues to evolve and to win a place in the market as a classic winery. The founders of the economy are Riecine Englishman John Dunkley — one of the respected producers of Chianti Classico, and his wife is Italian. In 1971 they purchased 1.5 hectares of land, restored old Villa and the revival of vineyards. The first crop was harvested in 1973, and the first wine released in 1975.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is dark red-garnet color.
Very complex but fresh aroma of the wine is filled with tones of Tuscan cigars, fur, violets, iron, wet earth.
The taste of wine a rich, loose, with a continuous dialogue between the fruity sweetness and saltiness, and solid, long, impressive finish.
The wine goes well with grilled, roasted or grilled meats and kebabs, cheeses, pates.
