Simonsig, Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz — a relatively new blend from the winery Simonsig, first released in 2003. The wine is created from two red grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are grown in the Stellenbosch region.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is dark ruby red in color with a lighter edge.
The aroma of wine is dominated by bright notes of fresh
black berries and cherries.
The taste of the wine is juicy, with a young, but well integrated tannins, hints of berries, white pepper and cloves. In the long aftertaste linger subtle oak nuances.
The wine is an ideal accompaniment pasta "neapolitano", cold pizza, beef carpaccio, burgers, and barbecue grills.
