"Soalheiro" Alvarinho — a great "Sunny" white wine, absorbed the generous warmth of the region is Vigna Verde. The wine is made from grapes albariño, which grows on small plots at an altitude of 100-200 meters above sea level on granite soil under favourable temperate climate. The crop is harvested by hand and quickly transportyou to the winery, where the fresh berries are gently pressed and the must obtained is immediately sent to the fermentation at a controlled temperature. The 2014 vintage shows the extraordinary richness and elegance on the palate and charms the fragrant "tropical" bouquet. 2014 has been ideal for harvest of Albarino. A small amount of precipitation in the winter, a good difference between day and night temperatures in the summer was favorable for slow ripening and a warm and dry September allowed the grapes to acquire the necessary balance of acidity and fruit notes.

The wine is an attractive straw-lemon color.

Винодельня Quinta de Soalheiro стала первой в Португалии, которая в своей деятельности сделала упор на выращивание сорта Альбариньо и изготовление из него высококлассных вин. Виноград компания культивирует в самой северной части Португалии — в Melgaco. По мнению виноделов Альбариньо здесь — особенный. Впервые особенность этого микроклимата оценил Жоао Антонио Кердейра, основатель Кинта де Соалейру, посадивший здесь в 1974 году первые виноградные лозы. Позже, в 1982-м, мир увидел первое вино от компании, названное "Soalheiro". Собственно, "soalheiro" в переводе с португальского означает "солнечный", что полностью отвечает характеристикам создаваемых компанией вин и прекрасного терруара, где они производятся.
