The wine Tenuta Rapitala, Syrah, enveloping his endearing silky taste and Sunny Mediterranean flavor, is made from Syrah grapes. This variety is grown on the farm separate vineyards located at an altitude of 400-500 meters above sea level, on clay soils. The yield of the vines is limited. The grapes are harvested in early September and vinified with maceration of medium duration (7-10 days) in small stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C. This technology allows to obtain a wine with good structure and preserve the varietal aroma of Syrah.Wine producer in Sicily the farm Tenuta Rapitala (in Arabic — "river of God"), founded in 1971 by count Bernard Hugonis della gatine. Ideal climatic conditions allow to grow here, both autochthonous and international grapes, from which the elegant wine with a luxurious bouquet. The owner of the company had a reconstruction of cellars and wineries, which was almost completely destroyed during the earthquake in the Belice valley. The philosophy of the Tenuta Rapitala is that wine should only be of excellent quality and perfectly created, but most importantly their individuality and uniqueness, clearly reflects the uniqueness of its terroir.

Tasting Characteristics

Wine red color with purple reflections.
The aroma of the wine are harmoniously combined notes of blackcurrant with light notes of smoke and spice.
The wine has a bright, medium-bodied taste with silky tannins and typical notes of ripe black fruit. In the long aftertaste dominated by black currant.
The wine goes well with red meat, especially fried and cheese. Wine will be an excellent addition to the dishes of ethnic cuisine, such as couscous, a dish with curry and spices.
