The range of wines "The Y Series" is a tribute to more than the sesquicentennial history of winemaking and viticulture of the Smith family and their winery "Yalumba". The various symbols on the label reflect the creativity, work and contribution of each employee in Yalumbe. The label "The Y Series" Shiraz Viongnier decorated horse standing on its hind legs. The horse is a symbol of the past, when horses worked the land instead of cars and tractors. Today, we enjoy racing and look forward to the exciting moment when the first horse crosses the finish line!

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is a deep crimson red.
The aromatic bouquet of the wine is replete with notes of juicy plums, beets and peppers, which are complemented by nuances of cinnamon.
The taste of the wine is generous, with a moderate level of tannins, hints of sweet fruit, notes of boysenberry and cherry. The finish is dense.
