"La Dame de Montrose", 2010 — the second wine of Chateau montrose, it was released in 1986 and is dedicated to the mother of the owner of the estate — Yvonne Charmoli. Over the past 20 years, the wine has received many high marks from international critics and appreciated by the consumer. It is a seductive, concentrated wine with a soft texture, silky tannins and a charming bouquet made from grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is done manually from late September to mid-October. Before pressing the collected berries are carefully selected. After fermentation and malolactic fermentation for 3 weeks, the wine is aged in oak barrels (15% new) for 12 months. The 2010 vintage will be at the peak of maturity from 2015 to 2035.
The wine is dense black with purple highlights.
Complex aroma of the wine reveals notes of cherry, raspberry, black currant, blueberry, dark tobacco tone cocktail Havana vanilla, and beautiful oak nuances.
Excellent and rich taste of the wine with fine acidity, attractive, luxurious and bright colors of plum, currant, cherry, raspberry, complemented by nuances of vanilla, mocha, spices and leather, completed a stunning long finish with elegant tannins.
Wine is served with grilled poultry, red meat, hot appetizers and cheeses. It is great for duck breast with honey and spices, as well as rack of lamb with herbs.
