"La Dame de Montrose" — the second wine of Chateau montrose, it was released in 1986 and is dedicated to the mother of the owner of the estate — Yvonne Charmoli. Over the past 20 years, the wine has received many high marks from international critics and appreciated by the consumers. It is a seductive, concentrated wine with a soft texture, silky tannins and a charming bouquet made from grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The harvest is done manually from late September to mid-October. Before pressing the collected berries are carefully selected. After fermentation and malolactic fermentation for 3 weeks, the wine is aged in oak barrels (15% new) for 12 months. Vintage 2013 will be at the peak of maturity from 2023 to 2033.
The wine has deep ruby-cherry color.
The wine shows expressive, rich aroma with notes of strawberry, Morello cherry, spices and underbrush.
The wine impresses with elegant, rounded palate with a silky texture, fruity notes and bright acidity and restrained tannins and soft finish.
Wine is a great accompaniment to red meat dishes, including grilled meats, lamb flank, grilled with herbs, poultry, including duck breast stuffed, cheese with noble mold.
