Dry red wine "Zhivago" is produced from Tempranillo grapes grown in Rioja. The peculiarity of this wine are 50 year old vineyards, which were grown this variety — they are not irrigated. The soil of the vineyard consists of clay and limestone. Fermentation, which is preceded by maceration in the environment of carbon dioxide, takes place in stainless steel tankers at a precisely controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation lasts approximately 11-15 days, during which the must is regularly stirred in order to precipitate containing pulp, in contact with the liquid part of the total volume. This technique allows the wine to acquire future character and depth. Before bottling the wine is stored in tankers, where there is a natural stabilisation and clarification.

The wine has rich purple color.
Strong fruity aroma of the wine is woven from licorice, banana, blueberry and raspberry.
The taste of the wine is smooth, fresh, balanced, with fruity notes and a long finish.
The wine is recommended to combine with hard cheese and red meat.

About the manufacturer

Винодельня Arabarte получила официальный статус компании 15 апреля 1997 года. Однако история ее создания восходит ко времени, когда предки основателей, пять семей из Риохи Алавесы, страны басков, владеющие лучшими виноградниками региона, решили перестать заниматься продажей винограда сторонним винодельням и начать производить собственное вино. Для выдержки вина они использовали небольшой погреб в Саманьего — маленьком городе, который находится в нескольких километрах от сегодняшней дислокации Арабарте. Вино, получаемое в Саманьего, долгие годы снабжало многие значимые винные компании Риохи, пока виноделы наконец не решили самостоятельно разливать и реализовывать свой продукт под брендом "Arabarte". Название бренда — это производное слов "Araba" (провинция "Alava" на баскском языке) и "Arte" ("искусство" по-испански), что вместе дает "Искусство виноделия Алавы".
