Interesting facts

"Il Querciolaia" — a powerful, strong, full-bodied wine made of a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the hills of Central Tuscany. The vineyard area of 3.5 hectares has a South/South-East exposure and is situated at altitude 390-430 above sea level. In the manufacture of wine the must is fermented for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. Aging takes place in two stages: first, at least 18 months in oak barrels, then at least 6 months in bottle. Wine storage capacity is 20-25 years. "Il Querciolaia" perfectly with braised meat and Mature cheeses such as Parmesan.

Wine of intense ruby color.
The rich aroma of wine is filled with tones of red fruit and light herbal notes.
Taste the wine is dry, strong, full, well-balanced, with elegant tannins and a long finish.
The wine goes well with roast pork, long braised beef (hot Peposo), strong and spicy cheeses.
