Captivating wine "Chateau La Tour l'aspic", 2008 is a decent example of Pauillac wines, this is the second wine of château Haut-Batailley.. Three grape varieties are harvested from young vines, decorated on the Guyot system, after fermentation, aged in wooden barrels. The wine has a deep dark color and rich fruit flavors with silky tannins and soft vanilla notes.Name of Chateau La Tour l'aspic comes from the towers built on the site in the nineteenth century and is depicted on the wine label. Vineyard L Aspik belongs to the family Borie. They also own the vineyards of Ducru-Beaucaillou and Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste.Chateau Haut-Batailley. is located in Palace and has long been famous for its simple, open wines, characterized by pronounced hints of black currant. Clean and fresh elegance of these wines every year is gaining more and more fans. Chateau Haut-Batailley as an independent brand exist in the ranks of the famous Bordeaux Chateau recently. But the history of Chateau Batailley, as part of which it existed earlier, more than a century and is one of the largest farms in the subregion of Pauillac. In the XVIII century the estate was the property of St. Merten. After the death of the head of the family, in 1816, the estate was auctioned and became the property of the representatives of the genus Guestier. In 1866, the family decides to sell the property and its owner becomes one of the largest banks in Paris. Since 1932, the Chateau owners — the brothers françois and Marcel Borie. They were the authors of the decision on division of the estate into two parts mentioned earlier — Shateau Haut-Batailley and Chateau Batailley. The reason for this was the desire of the brothers to prevent future possible problems with inheritance of estates and deprive yourself of puzzles associated with the legal issue of joint property. Most of the real estate, including the building of the Chateau Batailley., moved to Marseille and françois was transferred to the rest of the land, which became known as About-Bataille. At the head of Château Haut-Batailley today is françois-Xavier Borie. The vineyards of château — 22 hectares of land in the southern part of the region of Pauillac, near Saint-Julien — planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet franc. It is from them annually produces elegant and refined wines of the highest quality.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is dark, deep ruby color.
