Interesting facts

Wine "Cheval Noire" is made from grapes of Merlot and Cabernet franc, grown in the vineyard, which is located in the Western part of the region of Saint-Emilion, in the area called Rivellon (Rivalon). 35-year-old vines, which are harvested for this wine are grown on sandy soils with patches of clay. The summer of 2008 was not as favorable as it was predicted, but a dry July and warm autumn saved the situation and made it possible to gather the grapes are quite late. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. In 2009 the company opened a new winery, equipped with the latest technology, it is there, in well-equipped, ventilated cellars continued exposure "Cheval Noir".
