Interesting facts

Red wine "Duas Quintas" is made from traditional Douro superior grapes grown in QUINTA de Ervamoira at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level and QUINTA DOS Bons Ares at 600 metres. Thus, the wine incorporates features of both terroirs, achieving an optimal balance in Mature full-bodied taste. The 2013 season gave winemakers a fine crop of small-sized berries, which had a direct impact on the concentration of the wine that has become one of the most important characteristics of "Duas Quintas" 2013. Handpicked grapes are crushed, destebliruetsya and sent to fermentation in granite tanks, called lagares and stainless steel tanks. There the maceration needed to produce a rich taste with a good structure. After malolactic fermentation, 20% of the wine was aged in old French oak barrels, 30% in wooden ton, and the remainder in stainless steel vats for 13 months. Bottling took place in February of 2015.The winery "Ramos Pinto" was founded in 1880, a young 21-year-old artist Adriano Ramos Pinto. Thanks to Adriano and his entrepreneurial innovation strategy, the winery quickly became popular. Adriano chose to promote their beverages of the Brazilian market and at the beginning of the twentieth century "Ramos Pinto" has exported to South America half of the wines produced — it was the natural results of a prospective strategy for thinking, based on the modernization patterns of selection, batching, aging, packaging and market promotion. Trying to maintain the highest quality of its products and realizing that it largely depends on attention to the earth of the Douro Valley, the specialists of "Ramos Pinto" carefully studied this region, and, ultimately, became the owners of a number of estates with special characteristics, thus providing full control over the quality of the crop.In 1990, Ramos Pinto became part of the group "Roederer" and today, frédéric rouzaud, the descendant of the founder of the House of Sparkling wines "Champagne Louis Roederer", increase the success of the two famous Houses, carefully keeping the tradition and staying true to the principles of quality and independence in the international market.
