Echezeaux Grand Cru "Les Treux" Vieilles Vignes is a superb wine of great complexity, harmoniously combining elegance, purity and power. It is created from Pinot Noir with one in the possession of the family tardy plot of Grand CRU class purchased in 2010. It is close to Grand Echezeaux. In the vineyard area of 0.34 hectares grown very old Pinot Noir vines older than 80 years. Part of the grapes (35%) are carefully separated from the combs, a part is fermented with ridges. After cold maceration at 10 °C, soft pressing and fermentation the wine is aged 18 months in French oak barrels (80% new). Echezeaux Grand CRU "Les Tro" Vieille Vignes is recommended to leave in the cellar for a minimum of 4 years to reveal all the wine its aromatic palette. In General, the vintage 2016 will be easily stored for at least 12 years.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine has dark-ruby color.
Intense aroma of wine reveals notes of black and blue berries, violets, smoke and underbrush.
The taste of wine is full bodied, complex, powerful but elegant and clean, with pronounced ripe tannins, elegant with fresh acidity and a long, mineral finish.
The wine is recommended to serve gourmet dishes, the noble dishes from the large and feathered game (hare, deer, pheasant).

About the manufacturer

Семейство Тарди изначально проживало и занималась виноделием в муниципалитете Флаже-Эшезо, в нескольких километрах от Вос-Романе. В 1920 г. Виктор Тарди устроился на работу в Домен Камюзе в качестве аграрного работника. Спустя 25 лет владелец Домена, Этьен Камюзе, сдал ему в аренду часть виноградника. Жан Тарди перенял профессию отца в 1966 году и получил еще одну долю в винограднике от Домена Мео-Камюзе. С 1981 г. Жан начал активное приобретение плантаций на престижных аппелласьонах.
