"Il Medaglione" Chardonnay — a delicious white wine made from a blend of two grape varieties — Chardonnay (80%) and Malvasia Bianca di Lecce (20%) grown on clay-silt soils Salice Salentino. Collection Chardonnay made in the first week of August, and the harvest of Malvasia Bianca di Lecce — in the first week of September. After a short maceration and soft pressing, the must is decanted at 10 °C for 12 hours. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks takes place at a controlled temperature of 14-16 °C. the wine is Aged on the lees for 3 months in steel tanks and then a further 1 month in bottle.
The wine shows a pale straw color.
The refined aroma of the wine abounds with hints of citrus, banana, white peach, herbs and wildflowers.
The wine shows a fresh, well-balanced taste with citrus and mineral notes, pleasant acidity and an elegant finish.
Wine is an excellent aperitif and blends perfectly with various dishes of fish and seafood.
