Interesting facts

"Balciana" — a dry white wine made from Verdicchio grapes, grown on the vineyard in Contrada Balchiana in the Italian province of Marche. Wine produced every year, but only in the best harvest years. Low yield vines and various terms of harvest Verdicchio grapes are the main features of this wine. The harvest period varies from year to year, but usually takes place in the early to mid-November. While gathering berries with extreme caution sorted by ripeness and transported to the winery in small boxes. The traditional method of vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks. Tasting Characteristics

The wine is a beautiful straw-yellow color with a Golden hue.
Very pleasant, fragrant and complex bouquet of the wine reveals aromas of lemon, minerals and sweet spices, joined by notes of quince and Buttercup.
The wine has a harmonious, solid and strong, well balanced, fresh taste with a hint of green Apple, almond and white flowers. Elegant aftertaste marked by a slight bitterness.
The wine is well enjoyed neat as a digestif. It goes well with roast goose or duck, foie Gras and pork. It is served with dishes of tuna and salmon, shellfish, dried or smoked fish, as well as Mature cheeses.
