"Chenin Blanc" was the first wine released by founder of the winery "Simonsig" Frans Malan in 1968. Since then, it took almost half a century, and this wine has reached a new level of global popularity. Vintage 2011 will be remembered winemakers very difficult, windy, dry, and more hot than usual weather. The grapes started to rapidly gain sweetness in the middle of the season, because the temperature was too high. But winemakers and find its positive side. The estate vineyards located at the foot of Simons and cover an area of over 300 hectares. The company is one of the largest private wine producers in South Africa. Tasting Characteristics

The wine is bright straw color.
The aroma of wine — a beautiful blend of shades of ripe tropical fruit: guava, pineapple, pear, which literally burst from the glass and are nice to combine with soft floral tones.
Well-balanced palate the wine has excellent structure and richness, fine natural acidity combined with elegance and sophistication. Wine very easy to drink.
