"Torre del Falasco" Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso is the best tradition of creating wines of the famous Valpolicella region. Produced by the classical method of "Ripasso" the wine shows great taste and unsurpassed flavor. Technique is re-fermented with the addition of grape pomace from the Amarone honored winemakers for many years, as it allows to obtain an incredibly rich and aromatic wine, which has always been the pride of the Veneto region. Vinification "Torre del Falaschi" Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso involves fermentation at a controlled temperature, a ten-day maceration, re-fermentation and aging in oak barrels.

Tasting Characteristics

The color of wine — red ruby.
The aroma of wine felt velvety tones of dried cherry and dark plums, floral notes and nuances of mocha and dark chocolate.
Rich, full-bodied, mellow taste of wine reveals fruity tones, hints of wild berries, candied fruit and jam, spicy notes and well integrated tannins. A long pleasant finish with accents of nutmeg.
This wine goes perfectly with red meat, grilled meat, pasta and lasagna. The wine is quite versatile and can be pair of many dishes. Harmonizes well with Mature cheeses.

About the manufacturer

Cantina Valpantena — кооператив, созданный несколькими виноделами в 1958 году, сегодня насчитывающий около 300 фермерских хозяйств. В их владениях в общей сложности сосредоточены около 600 га виноградников. Местность Вальпантены (зона Вальполичелла, Верона) была избрана для виноградарства и виноделия не случайно. Еще в 1617 году красоту этой территории описывал Адриано Гранди, сравнивая ее с написанным художником холстом. По мнению римского историка Флоруса виноделием в Вальпаленте занимались еще древние римляне, а в переводе с греческого Valpantena означает "долина богов". В виду особенности этой территории и ее направленности на выращивание винограда для производства вина территорию стали именовать "долина всех вин". Винная продукция хозяйства Кантина Вальпантена делится на два бренда: "Torre del Falasco" и "Alfabeto". Помимо виноделия в кооперативе также занимаются производством славящимся на всю Италию оливкового масла.
