Cahors "ay-Serez Massandra" — vintage dessert wine created from grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon and Bastardo Magarach. First wine was released in 1991. The harvest begins only after reaching the sugar in the berries at least 22%. At the winery the fruit undergo vinification at a controlled temperature, followed by aging in oak barrels for three years. Cahors "ay-Serez Massandra" is recommended to combine with ice cream, sweets and fruits."Massandra" — world-renowned manufacturer of high quality natural wines with more than 100 years of history. The winery with its vineyards occupy over 400 hectares on the southern shore of the Crimea. "Massandra" according to one scholar translates as "military settlement", and according to others as "inconvenient land." For a long time Massandra owned by different people, but its peak it reached in 1826, when the owner was count Mikhail Vorontsov. He has built wine cellars and planted vineyards. In 1900 Massandra for the first time took part in the world famous Paris exposition. Then began the era of Massandra wines which continues to this day.
