Chateau Fonrazade — dry red Bordeaux wine with a rounded, dense, flexible and delicate taste, delicate aroma and pleasant aftertaste. The wine is made from a blend of Merlot grapes and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the region of Saint-Emilion. The vineyards of Chateau occupies an area of 13 hectares, and the average age of the vines is 40 years. It is dominated by brown sandy soils. Chateau Fonrazad practiced "green fee" to improve the quality of the fruit. After hand-picking harvest is carefully sorted at the winery. Then the berries are fermented for a period of 2 to 4 weeks after which the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12-15 months, with 30% of them were new. Due to the particular grape varieties, climate, weather during the year and soil each vintage "Chateau Fonrazad" has its own unique character and unique style.

Tasting Characteristics

Wine bright garnet color.
With excellent refinement, the aroma of the wine reveals notes of cherry, plum, exotic spices, rose petals, roasted coffee beans and oak.
Despite the concentration and a strong tannin structure, the taste of wine seems like sleek and slim. His palette are shades of crushed cherries, strong coffee, roasted pepper, licorice and wood.
