Konrad, "random Selection" Riesling, 2011 — well-structured, very drinkable and pleasant wine. Despite his youth, the wine has a concentrated flavor and aroma. The soil on which it grows Riesling, mostly rocky, with small clay content. The crop is harvested in March-April. For wine we selected only the ripe and healthy grapes. After this, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing process. Then, the wort is passed fermentation, during which was balanced by the sweetness of the drink and its acidity. The wine is characterized by good storage potential — more than 10 years.The company Konrad belongs to the family of Hengstler — Konrad, his wife Sigrun and their two sons. Henstlery emigrated from Germany to Australia over 20 years ago. During a trip to New Zealand, Konrad discovered the outstanding wines Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. He decided to move to the region and begin to take wine. Family planted their first vines in 1996. Now the area of vineyards located in the Wairau and Waihopai valleys of Marlborough, is 40 hectares In vineyards producing Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. Wine from Conrad have an excellent combination of "price-quality".

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is a brilliant, very pale straw-green color.
The aroma of the wine is very fresh, with classic citrus notes, hints of ripe red Apple, lime, hints of delicate white flowers and subtle mineral nuances.
The taste of the wine is balanced and very clean, with typical Riesling fruit notes and juicy acidity.
The wine goes well with spicy Asian dishes, seafood, fruit or as an after-dinner digestif on a summer day.
