The winery Tenuta La Braccesca is one of the first acquisitions of Antinori in 1990, located a few kilometers from Montepulciano, South-East of Tuscany, on the border with Umbria. The property has total area of 380 ha and consists of two parts: the historical center, located in the South of Montepulciano and occupying 86 hectares planted with the best vines for the production of Nobile di Montepulciano, and 294 hectares of land between Montepulciano and Cortona, of which 151 hectares given over to vineyards at the foot of the hills surrounding Cortona.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine shows a deep ruby red color.
The wine is elegant, delicate bouquet with notes of cherries, blackberries and sweet spices.
The taste of the wine is soft, elegant, balanced, with fruity overtones, hints of tobacco, underbrush and licorice, with fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish.
The wine goes well with meat dishes and soft cheeses.
