Beautiful, elegant wine from Pinot Noir, Lupe-Cholet, Mercurey AOC has all the classic qualities of this region. Vineyards with southern and Eastern exposure are divided into calcareous soils, containing large amounts of calcium. Handpicked grapes are completely separated from the ridges to avoid excessive bitterness. Maceration and fermentation in total last around 20 days and are held in conical vats equipped with a thermoregulation that allows you to have a direct impact on the extraction of color and flavor. Subsequent aging in barrels lasts for 15 months. Depending on the vintage used from 20 to 40% new barrels. During this period the wine is regularly stirred, adding it fullness and roundness. Before bottling, the wine settles and is almost not filtered, preserving the natural wealth of exquisite terroir.
The wine is ruby red color with cherry and garnet reflections.
Classic aroma of the wine colored tones of cherry, strawberry, toast, pepper, which are framed by subtle oak weaves.
Fleshy, medium-bodied taste of the wine has rich berry palette, which give complexity the rounded, ripe tannins. The whole composition is balanced with fresh acidity. The elegant finish is persistent, versatility, demonstrating a mix of hints of toast, pepper and red berries.
