Red wine Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru "Les Loups" is made from Pinot Noir harvested in two vineyards of the class of the CRUs ("La Riot" and "Le village") and the Grand CRU "Clos de Lambre". "Les Loups" in French means "wolves". Is the name of the wine was in honor depicted on the emblem of Domain de Lambre two leaping wolves. The harvest wine Morey-Saint-Denis Premier CRU "Le Loup" by hand. After partial destemming fermentation process begins in stainless steel tanks for 18-20 days using natural yeast. Exposure of young wine takes place in oak barrels of which 50% are new, for 18 months. The wine has excellent storage capacity, which is 15-20 years.Winery Domaine des Lambrays is named after the largest vineyard belonging to the Domain, — Clos des Lambrays (Clos des lambrays.). First mention of this ancient vineyard date back to the year 1363 in the sovereign acts of the notorious Abbey of Citeaux. In 1789, after the French revolution, area enclosed by a low wall, was divided between 74 owners during the XIX century it was gradually purchased two merchant families — Rodier and jolie. In 1938, the vineyard at the time qualify as premiers CRUs, was acquired by the family Cosson. The new owners soon lost interest in winemaking, but the wines of the vintage 40 years is still appreciated by many connoisseurs. Vineyards without due care and attention are old and no longer bear fruit.
