The wine "Unico" Montepulciano D'abruzzo is made from the same grapes of Montepulciano D'abruzzo, whose age is about 20 years. The origin of the grapes was very doubtful. There have even been suggestions that this kind of Sangiovese, but then it became clear that there is nothing in common between these two varieties of grapes not. Grapes are grown mainly in Abruzzo and other areas of southern Italy. Today, thanks to the diligence of manufacturers, Montepulciano D'abruzzo has become very popular and is equivalent to the red grape varieties of the highest quality.
Wine of intense ruby red color with violet hues.
Pleasant and persistent aroma filled with notes of red fruits, berries, hints of black cherry and BlackBerry.
The taste is very powerful, quite dense, well-balanced wine with pronounced tannins perfectly complements the flavor, emphasizing its notes. Long lasting aftertaste with a long lasting fruity sensation in the mouth.
The wine is excellent with aged cheeses, roasted meat, seasoned with spices, entrees and dark chocolate.
