Friuliano — a gentle, elegant wine with a pleasant acidity and a fine, delicate flavor. Grapes for wine are grown on the slopes around the estate, which are predominantly South facing and marl soil. Harvested in late September. The berries are gently pressed with the use of a pneumatic press, then fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged on the lees for eight months before bottling and another 2-3 months in bottle. Annually produces about 20 thousand bottles of "Friuliano". In 2010, the wine Villa Russiz, Friulano, winner of 20 contenders, was awarded the title of "Best Friulano".
