Interesting facts

The wine Bourgogne is a peaceful, wine, elegant and complex, aged in oak. Hubert Lignier adheres to ancient philosophy: "the Exceptional quality of wines primarily depends on the health of the vines" and follows the principles of rational viticulture, which in particular include the fact that damaged grapes not used for wine production. In addition, chemicals against diseases and pests in the vineyards are used only in case of urgent need. The yield of the farm is around 20-55 HL/ha, depending on the climatic features of the year. For wine Bourgogne used hand picking Pinot Noir grapes, cold maceration for 5 days with regular pizhazhem. Fermentation takes place in open, neutral tanks at strictly controlled temperatures for 15-20 days, and only natural yeast. According to Lignier – it is necessary to avoid over-extract content of wine and strong aging in oak, the wine created from Pinot Noir should be refined and noble. So all wine is bottled without filtration. Wine kept in old oak barrels from 2 to 5 years. Sugar 1.80 g/l.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is ruby red in color.
The Bourgogne wine - well-structured with flavors of sweet cherries and surprisingly elegant with a hint of licorice.
On the palate the wine Bourgogne felt rounded, but very noticeable tannins and extraordinarily long finish with dominant notes of red berries.
To serve wine it is best to roast veal in cream sauce, roast lamb and venison and cheese.
