The modern history of Chateau de Camensac originates in 1964, when the estate passed into the possession of the Forner brothers, who have already got rich experience in the Spanish wine Rioja. The brothers began reforming the mass production of planting new vines (85 hectares), the restructuring of the winery building and hiring an experienced consultant Professor Emile Peynaud. Even the main building is a simple one-storey mansion of the 18th century — was completely renovated. The reforms were the high-quality wines, always holding high positions in the rankings.
