"Col di Sasso" is a pair of red wine "Le Rome" in the main line of the company Castello Banfi, one of the most famous wines of this manufacturer. Young, bright and easy-drinking wine. The name translated from Italian means "Stone Hill" and this is no accident because it is made from a mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, grown in the rocky and impassable areas of the estate Banfi in Montalcino. Sangiovese gives the wine richness and Cabernet Sauvignon enhances the structure and fills a bouquet of bright fruit tones. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. Fermentation for 5-6 days carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25-30 °C. This allows you to get a good color and keep the flavor of the wine, while not burdening the excess tannins. Also malolactic fermentation. The exposure for a short time takes place in stainless steel tanks. The potential for wine storage is 3 years.
The wine is cherry ruby color.
The distinctive aroma of the wine is rich with hints of ripe dark fruit, vanilla, sweet spices and minerals.
The wine has a rounded, silky taste with fruity acidity, fine-grained tannins and a long finish.
The wine will perfectly complement the taste of white meat with vegetables, light meats, pasta, poultry meat and various cheeses.
