Wine "Clos Mogador" is named in honor of the novel "Les Gens de Mogador" ("the People of Mogador"), which was written by the grandmother of Rene Barbier and is dedicated to the life of her family at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Later the novel was filmed and has had great success in France. Blend the wine "Clos Mogador" consists of 4 grape varieties, and the percentage of grades varies from vintage to vintage. The grapes are grown in areas located on very steep terraces forming a gigantic natural amphitheatre above the Siurana river, at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. Age of the vines Garnacha is more than 80 years. Other varieties were planted much later — in the early 1980-ies.
The wine has a dense purple color.

The wine has a powerful, very rich and wonderfully balanced flavor with a dense structure, velvety tannins and lively acidity. Drink reveals notes of coffee, chocolate, candied fruits, spices and herbs. Long aftertaste riddled with interesting mineral notes.
The wine is perfectly paired with venison and meat.
