Interesting facts

Valpolicella DOC Superiore is a well-balanced, elegant, fragrant wine. By mixing several varieties of grapes that are harvested in the prestigious areas of Veneto in northeast Italy, it has a versatile aromatic palette combined with bright acidity and velvety tannins and perfectly reflects the modern style of Valpolicella.Grapes for wine production are harvested in late April by hand. It is now considered most optimal. Wine is aged for 20 months in barriques of French oak (50%) and Slavonian oak (50%). Then the wine is aged for about 10 months in the bottle.

Tasting Characteristics

Wine of intense ruby red color.
Refined and complex bouquet of the wine is woven from the scents of berry jam, spice and coffee, combined with subtle notes of sherry, black pepper and minerals.
Full-bodied wine is wonderfully balanced, elegant, fresh palate with expressive acidity and sweet velvety tannins. Delicious taste ends with an impressively long, silky finish.
The wine is beautifully revealed in conjunction with the game, hot meat and spicy dishes, beef, grilled or broiled. It will be a great tandem with pasta, beans and cheese, with a taste of medium intensity.
