Interesting facts

Supertuscan wine "Camartina", first released in 1981, made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, grown in biodynamic vineyards in Tuscany IGT at an altitude of 350-400 metres above sea level. After harvest, the grapes are carefully placed in 8-kilo crates for ease of transportation to the winery where the berries are very carefully pressed and sent to stainless steel tanks for fermentation at a strictly controlled temperature conditions. The process of maceration Sangiovese took 12 days and for Cabernet Sauvignon and 20 days. Aged the wine for 24 months in French oak barrels Nevers and tronkays, 40% of which is new, and 60% annual. After bottling, the wine is left to Mature for 6 months in the cellars of the winery. Wine is available for sale for at least 30 months after the harvest the 2008 vintage was released in spring 2011. Annual production of wine "kamartin" is 30 thousand bottles.

Tasting Characteristics

The wine is a deep, dark garnet color with purple reflections.
Unique, rich and exquisite aroma of the wine filled with hints of wild berries — blackberries and blueberries and with notes of delicate violets, graphite, chocolate, cherry and Bay leaf.
The wine has a strikingly intense, powerful, sweet, concentrated flavor that blends with subtle flavor. The taste is dominated by the motives of dried fruits, spices and beautiful, juicy cherry nuances. For "Camartina" 2008 has a long aftertaste and silky tannins.
